Morning routine.
Before you eat or drink anything else in the morning we recommend you to drink Hot Lemon Water.
This way you start your day with an alkaline drink that will boost your body, It will help to clean your body. Makes your skin look healthy and fresh, strengthens your immune system and helps to reduce inflammations. Your morning breath gets freshened and gives you an energy boost. Lemons contains so much more than the vitamin C, such as magnesium, potassium, complex of B vitamins, iron, calcium and fiber.
If you haven’t done this before I recommend that you start with half a lemon.
Heat water in a pot or a water boiler (please, stay away from microwaves!!) Squeeze the lemon juice into a mug or glass, pour hot water into the juice and top of with a bit of cold water so you can drink it all at once. (you can add half a teaspoon raw honey if it feels to sour for you in the beginning)
Are you a Lemon water drinker already? Then it’s time to spice it up a bit. Add two tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar (organic) to your water before drinking it. After doing this you shouldn’t eat or drink anything else in 15-30 minutes so the alkaline lemon juice can work its magic on your body. (yes, it’s easy to wait those minutes. just take a shower, do yoga, wake the kids or get dressed in the meantime.) Stay away from smoking during these minuets too!
FYI,the lemon is acidic so please don’t brush your teeth until 30-60 minutes after, it’s better just to rinse with cold water.
Throughout the day,
– avoid white flour (or all flour) and stay away from added sugar.
– Choose potatoes (boiled) or quinoa instead of pasta.
– Choose vegetarian as often as you can.
– Ginger tea instead of coffee.
– Drink minimum 1,5 liter clear water per day, if you exercise add half a litre.
– Chew your food as the saying; “Drink your food and chew your drinks”. This is a must to prepare the stomach for what is coming. by chewing you start a process and the saliva adds an enzyme to the process of digestion. So chew everything that you intend to swallow.
Evening routine: Lemon + olive oil shot.
Mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of fresh pressed lemon juice. drink it and go to bed. Helps clean the liver. (if you have time for it you can do this step in the morning, before the lemon acv water, just wait 15 minutes before you drink the apple cider vinegar-lemon water.
If you choose to add it to the morning routine, then i recommend you to invest in wheatgrass powder. add 1 tablespoon in 2dl water, stir to resolv it, remember to chew this while drinking it) wheatgrass helps detox the body and especially the pineal gland.
Breakfast tip:
Chia seeds/hemp seed instead of bread in the morning-
(mix 3 tablespoons of chia seeds, 2 tablespoons of hemp seeds with 2dl warm water, stir thoroughly for 1-2 minutes, add pieces of fresh fruits, chopped nuts or berries for more taste.
Snack suggestions:
Buckwheat pancakes:
Easy: 100 gr + 2 eggs + 200 ml water. First mix eggs with bw, then add water. Bake longer than expected, thin or think.
Master: add sliced banana, apples + cinnamon, kiwi, avocado,.. whatever you prefer from the veggie or fruit department. (nope, nutella and other processed sugars have to stay away this month)
Chickpeas;
Medium: soak hard chickpeas at least 6 hrs (overnight), cook for 1 – 1,5 hr. Dry, put on oven plate. Sprinkle oil + salt on top. 20 – 30 min 200 Cs
Master: blend peas + olive oil + tahin +lemon juice + whatever to make humus
